I don’t usually preach on how great a piece of product is on my personal blog, but this one is special. SlashGear is proudly running Wordpress and backed by Dual Xeon 3.0 and 4GB ram with 74GB Raid SCSI machine. We were running Apache 2.0 with MySQL 4.1 on it and when we got digg or slashdotted, the server did not hold up very well. So i found wp-cache, it definitely help but it also limits me to certain functions i use on SlashGear. After searching the web and optimizing apache config and adding php cache, i still could not hold up to digg traffic well. One day upon serving the web, i found litespeed server and to be honest i have my doubt (bad experience with Zeus web server before). I gave it a try anyway and migrate SlashGear’s web server to Litespeed. I’m amazed how small memory footprint it uses and how well it handles large traffic. When we got digged, it tops out at 1.3 on the server load.

I did not hesitate to order the dual cpu license after that and has been very happy with it so far. Their PHP Litespeed SAPI is very well good and support has been great. Keep up the great work Litespeed team!
