Many exciting things happened this week. We revamped PhoneMag and refresh it with a fresh look. Helio Mysto is finally here; Vincent posted the unboxing and UI walkthrough video of it. We’ve been playing the Samsung F700v Croix for a while now, and the review is up.

Our new associate editor Daniel Lim, a photography expert posted a tip on how to take extreme macro with stacked lenses. Chris Davies got a hold of Cowon iAudio D2 and posted his reviews on SlashGear.

It has not been a good week, at least for me. On Friday, I found out our main server where SlashGear and MYiTablet hosted on is having problem with its RAID. The datacenter was not helping much so I decided to move all the sites to a new machine instead. We got a quad core Xeon server with 4GB of RAM went ahead with RAID5 instead of RAID 1 like our old server. Spent close to 36 hours without sleep getting things ready and thank God it is now online and completed.

As many of you know, our very own Vincent is now a member of Mobius, an invite only meet up organized by Microsoft. So we have some coverage of Mobius 2007 in Amsterdam on SlashGear.

In Mobius, Vincent got a chance to play with the Samsung SGH-i620 phone, that is also known as Sangria.

Holiday shopping season is here and you can’t deny it that shopping for a gift is not that easy. If you need a guide, we have posted some on SlashGear.com.

-	Nintendo DS or Sony PSP? Which is the SlashGear holiday choice?

For those who own Rock Band game, you might want to check if your guitar controller is defective and contact Harmonix to get a solution or exchange.

Tag Heuer, the luxury watch maker is jumping into mobile phone market. It will be interesting to see Tag Heuer brand name on a phone.

CES 2008 a little over a month away, all our preparation is almost complete. The only thing left is to schedule meetings.

We added a new face to SlashGear, Daniel Lim might not be a stranger to some of you as he was one of our contributor writer. Daniel finally agrees to join us as associate editor starting this month and he will be covering digital cameras and home theater news

We want to thank our sponsors Parrot and Quartics for their support.

Hey Ya’all, It’s been a fun and tiring week. I’m still trying to figure out how I can lose these extra pounds I gain from all those food on Thanksgiving. I’m not so crazy about the bird, but man oh man, the desert just kills my diet right on.

Earlier this week, before all the food and sweet temptations, our Jimmy (James Brady) posted a review of JayBird Bluetooth Stereo headset. I’m sure some of you are on top of your game in gift hunting, but did you know Asus EEE PC is the most wanted gift this holiday? So if that’s on your list, better hurry up and grab one.

Okay, T-Mobile Sidekick Slide users, I’m so very sorry to have brought you a bad news last week; this week, I’m happy to say that Motorola has found a “beta” solution to fix the problem. So if you do have a defective unit (I guess almost all of you), give T-mobile rep a call and they will assist you in getting the problem taken care of.

Vodafone managed to get an injunction against T-Mobile to prevent T-Mobile to sell a locked iPhone in Germany – as the result of this injunction; T-Mobile will be selling an unlocked iPhone. Before you start jumping up and down in hope to get a hold of legally unlocked iPhone, you need to know that T-Mobile is putting a hefty price tag on it – around $1500 or 999 Euro.

Our lovely Chris Davies has been following Optimus keyboard development for very long time now, and I can assure you, he is as tired as most of us hearing about this “vaporware hall of fame” product, however the keyboard recently made a grand appearance and showcased itself on Wired Store in NYC. So I guess there is a chance of it to get into consumer’s hand in the near future.

Have you been eying on the Nokia N810? Lady luck is on your side my friend; Nokia has finally shipping the N810 to US consumers. Amazon also made the news this week with it’s eBook reader called the Kindle that comes with free 3G connectivity.

Oh did I mention I gain 2 pounds on Thanksgiving? Well not like you all care anyway. That’s all for this week wrap up. For more daily updated gadgets and consumer electronic news, visit SlashGear!

We started this week with a couple of breaking news; Google released its much-anticipated SDK for the Android platform and I have to say, this is a very good start for the Open Handset Alliance initiative.

Our network uses YouTube a lot to deliver our videos to readers, and most of the time, we captured our video in 720p using the Canon HV10 and Sony HVR-A1U; YouTube co-founder, Steve Chen hinted that YouTube might go HD in coming months.

Dell finally announces it’s All-In-One PC called Dell XPS One (sounds familiar? Gxtxwxy One), and we are sorry to bring some bad news for T-mobile Sidekick Slide owners. However, we did not encounter this issue on our review unit.

The second half of the week was the busiest one, as SlashGear received so many products for review. We started off with the HTC Shadow, our associate editor Reece seems to like it. Vincent did a quick hands-on of the USBConnect 881 from AT&T, he will publish the review soon. We were also unboxing the new Alienware M9750 with dual SSD (32GB x2), benchmark and review will be posted next week. Oh did i forgot to mention we unboxed LG Venus too?

I personally don’t like censorship, however some comment posters on SlashGear has stepped out of the line especially when it comes to console argument. So, I’ve decided to filter out profanity from our comment system. If any of you have a better suggestions, I’m open to it.

Some of you might have noticed that we have several unfamiliar names on the editor lists. We have added two new associate editors to SlashGear; Reece and Christina. You will be seeing more entries in the future from them.

This week, I want to thank all our readers for their feedback and spiffy comments on the site. So see you guys next week.

Welcome to Ewdi’s first Week in Review. Every weekend I’ll be writing about what has happen on Aradius network. If you took the time to notice, SlashGear’s featured section on the sidebar now includes thumbnails of the articles, which should a nice quick preview in addition to the entry titles.

We finally get a hold of a 64GB Samsung SSD drive, and Vincent (nervously) pops it into his beloved MacBook Pro! and YES he did manage to get it to power up after the surgery.

Chris Davies did a review on Philips VOIP841 dual-mode Skype DECT phone earlier this week. Here is what our beloved Chris has to say about it….

“Does the Philips VOIP841 escape the long-standing SlashGear wrath? It’s a qualified yes, with decent call-quality, technophobe simplicity and common-sense connectivity all counting in its favour. Less impressive, however, is the MSRP of $199, although of course you can find it for closer to $110 online and additional handsets under $60.”

We want to thank our new sponsor Quartics, and our current sponsor Parrot for their support.
