Week in Review, Issue 2

Week in Review, Issue 2We started this week with a couple of breaking news; Google released its much-anticipated SDK for the Android platform and I have to say, this is a very good start for the Open Handset Alliance initiative.

Our network uses YouTube a lot to deliver our videos to readers, and most of the time, we captured our video in 720p using the Canon HV10 and Sony HVR-A1U; YouTube co-founder, Steve Chen hinted that YouTube might go HD in coming months.

Dell finally announces it’s All-In-One PC called Dell XPS One (sounds familiar? Gxtxwxy One), and we are sorry to bring some bad news for T-mobile Sidekick Slide owners. However, we did not encounter this issue on our review unit.

The second half of the week was the busiest one, as SlashGear received so many products for review. We started off with the HTC Shadow, our associate editor Reece seems to like it. Vincent did a quick hands-on of the USBConnect 881 from AT&T, he will publish the review soon. We were also unboxing the new Alienware M9750 with dual SSD (32GB x2), benchmark and review will be posted next week. Oh did i forgot to mention we unboxed LG Venus too?

I personally don’t like censorship, however some comment posters on SlashGear has stepped out of the line especially when it comes to console argument. So, I’ve decided to filter out profanity from our comment system. If any of you have a better suggestions, I’m open to it.

Some of you might have noticed that we have several unfamiliar names on the editor lists. We have added two new associate editors to SlashGear; Reece and Christina. You will be seeing more entries in the future from them.

This week, I want to thank all our readers for their feedback and spiffy comments on the site. So see you guys next week.
